Kristin
Kristin has been an independent stylist since 2016; she is the owner of NBP and since the day she became licensed her world has been everything HAIR. Kristin graduated from the Aveda Institute of Houston, one of the most prestigious institutes in the country when it comes to cosmetology education. After graduating, she moved to Austin to work at a high end salon and to train under experienced stylists. After a year, she moved back to the Houston area to pursue an independent career as a stylist. Kristin specializes in color corrections, lived in dimensional color, as well as modern precision haircuts. Her focus is on staying educated on the most up to date trends, as well as guaranteeing every client leaves feeling beautiful, confident, and a friend of NBP!
Taylor
Taylor has been in the hair world since 2017; she was our first NBP employee and now Salon Manager. She graduated from the Aveda Institute of Houston, where they are known for the best training, color chemistry education, and career preparation in the industry. Post cosmetology school, Taylor went on to work at a high end salon in The Woodlands, where she received 3 years of extensive training and experience among many talented stylists. Taylor specializes in bright blondes, lived in color and hand-tied extensions. Her main focus is getting her clients to the shade they're looking for, no matter how much blood, sweat or tears go into it. In addition to killing it behind the chair, she also makes sure our stylist continue to develop and learn through continuing education classes and training.
Ally
Ally is our first stylist to complete her full apprenticeship at NBP. She graduated from the Lone Star Kingwood in June of 2021 and joined our team in November of 2021. She has been a full time stylist since completing her training under Kristin, where she got incomparable, hands-on experience in all things hair. Ally has mastered techniques for highlighting, toning, cutting, and styling just the way our NBP clients know and love. Her focus is on making clients feel beautiful and confident in their wild side with fashion colors and edgy haircuts! She also loves the challenge of color corrections where she can see hard work, patience, and technique yield amazing outcomes.
Shannon
Shannon just joined the NBP fam in 2022, but she's no rookie when it comes to hair. She started her cosmetology journey in high school and was licensed right after graduation in 2016. After getting licensed, she worked at a large corporate salon as a color specialist for several years. Once she mastered color, she focused on continuing her education with certifications in cutting, smoothing treatments, and extensions. Shannon always says how fortunate she feels to wake up every morning and go to a job that fuels her soul! Making women feel empowered and confident is what inspires her work! She specializes in blondes, color corrections, and she is our VIVID QUEEN!
Myah
Myah completed her full apprenticeship program and has hit the ground running as a Level 1 Stylist! She has taken off and exceeded expectations with her first year on the floor. Fun fact, her hair journey started when Kristin’s did! She began as a client of Kristin’s, while she was in school, and remained a loyal client turned friend. This led her to inevitably pursue her own love for hair, and at the very place it began. As an Aveda graduate who has now completed her apprenticeship, Myah looks forward to working alongside the team and growing her clientele. She is passionate in helping women feel confident both in and out of the chair. Myah enjoys the beauty of every service, and is interested in naturally curly hair, rich reds, and lived-in blondes!
Kris
Kris is our newest Level 1 Stylist, having recently completed her apprenticeship with Taylor and Kristin! She graduated from Lone Star College with her cosmetology hours and has been licensed for 2 years. Kris's in-depth training with Kristin and Taylor included modern color techniques, formulation, extension installation methods, and modern cutting skills. She loves educating her clients on the products, tools, and techniques she uses on their hair at each visit. Blonding services are her passion and she looks forward to growing her clientele!
Cynthia
Cynthia is one of our very talented Level 1 Stylists that found her way to us from another salon last year! She graduated with her cosmetology license from Lone Star College in 2020 and has been such a great fit at NBP. Although she has found her salon home here, Cynthia has experience working in different salons -- anything from chains to boutique experiences. She lives for doing alternative vivids, dimensional color, and bouncy blowouts...and she will encourage you to get the bangs. Her passion is cultivating confidence in her clients through their hair, and she looks forward to growing her clientele!
Kendal
Kendal is our newest apprentice and we are so excited to have her! She graduated from Aveda in 2024 and has been such a great addition to our team so far. She is a quick learner, passionate about improving and growing, and seamlessly assists Kristin and Taylor with their clients. Kendal will be open to taking models soon!
